It’s no secret Facebook-owned Instagram is the 2nd largest social media network in the world, with over 600M users and a rapid growth rate.

But up until recently, Instagram was a closed party for mobile devices only, or unofficial 3rd party apps and schedulers that tricked the app to upload from a PC, causing Instagram to close such hacks.

Recently, Instagram made it available to upload photos from the mobile website version, thus allowing anyone to upload even without the mobile app. This will work with every browser, no need to install any add-on or 3rd party tool.

How to post on Instagram from your PC?

Super simple, read below based on your chosen browser:

Google Chrome users:

1. Open Instagram.com in your browser
2. Click Ctrl+Shift+I (AKA Inspect)
3. Now click Ctrl+Shift+M (Toggle Device Toolbar) which will allow you to choose to view the website like you are using a mobile device
4. Now you’ll be able to see the camera icon just like in your mobile app. Go ahead and upload just like your’e used to.

Internet Explorer users:

1. Open Instagram.com
2. Right click and choose “Inspect Element”
3. In the bottom windows choose “Emulation” tab
4. Choose “Windows Phone” to make the website think you are using a mobile devic
5. Now you’ll be able to see the camera icon just like in your mobile app. Go ahead and upload just like your’e used to.

If you are using a Mac, just use your mouse’s right-click button (or double-tap your touchpad) to access the same menus as a PC. If that doesn’t work try F12 (or Cmd + Opt + I) and then Command+Shift+M to go mobile.
